I got these in a parts buy years ago and wasn't sure if they were real or reproductions. The 440 part is brushed not chrome and they do have part numbers on them, How can you tell originals from reproductions?

Not shaker as end pins are too far apart.
Looks like an attempt early on adding a center pin by someone to give it shaker appearance.
Just some observations....nameplate is not thick on end as shaker is.
They are both for the same side.
Brushed 440 which indicates likely started life as a flat hood two pin nameplate.
Cast number on rear is indicative of steel hood nameplate.
Shakers were 3462492-1

Maybe they are some early reproductions from the 80's?

I think the standard hood emblems did have 3 pins. The pins are shorter and are smaller diameter than Shaker emblems and one of the pins is in different location. It’s been awhile since I’ve held the two types next to each other so I could be wrong. I bought an emblem from a dealership in the mid 90s that is just like the one posted above
. The red coating on the “sixpack” had the same weird translucent finish. I’ll see if I can find it and post a pic.

These I cut up for the Six-pack have the translucent looking red, like the OP posted. The paint is a clear red and you see thr chorme plate thought it. Kinda an anodized looking. Kinda like shooting red candy top coat over silver base.
All the NOS 340 4 barrel I have are solid color red.

All the mid 90s dated packs 3 pins just like the one's in post number 1 the OP has have the translucent red. Not sure if it came out in the pics

You can usually tell a repop from an original chrysler part by the supplier code not being cast in the repop emblems.

Question: is there a left and right emblem? I thought usually the even part numbers were for the right/passenger's side (i.e., passenger's side of hood scoop, passenger's door) and the odd part numbers were usually for the left/driver's side of the car? Is there an odd and even part number on them? If so which direction do the letters and numbers lean? If installed with an even part number on the right side of a hood scoop would the letters/numbers lean toward the windshield/back or away from the windshield/forward? Just asking for a friend wink Was it determined for which car these are for? Thanks.

440 SIXPACK and 426 HEMI shaker emblems are the only ones with a RH and LH part number as far as I know.

Does anyone have good pics of originals they can share?

Not an original, but based on the packaging and the emblem itself, I’d bet this is a first run NOS part. The brushed chrome finish on the numbers and the slight overspray of red paint on the letters matches the survivor examples I’ve seen. I think the technique for applying the red changed on later production runs, with a much cleaner delineation between the two colors. The red on the 90s-era emblems almost looks like it was anodized.

Thanks. Where do the OP's emblems go? Are these left or right side 440 SIX PACK emblems?

Even part numbers are for the right side of the car and odd numbers are for the left side.
