10.50 index, 3500 pound NSS car, 45-55 passes the tires would start to slip, and become unreliable. This is with two different brands, 4 sets total. They were worth an easy 0.10 on the ET, but with that few passes, I will never use them again.

I don't know the exact number but somewhere around a couple hundred runs. I just put on a fresh pair after 4 years and the old set could have lasted a few more runs . 3150 lb. Dart , 527 hp small block / 904 11.00s slowed down to run 11.50s ,1.48-1.52 60ft . I really like them I ran Hoosier Quick Time Pros previously at 10 1/2 lbs. with the Hoosier Drag radial I run 18 lbs. and the car is more stable top end .... footbrake, short burnout .

We get around the same. However we get roughly the same amount from bias ply's of the same size, (29.5 x 10.5), before they're worn out. The car is heavy and seems to prefer to hit the tyre hard.
We picked up around .15 in the 1/4 with the radials, car is more consistent and stable throughout the run, in my experience anyway smile . HTH's up

My car kills the sidewalls before the tire is worn out. I need to work on that.

Most people over burn them. Just need to put enough heat in them to make smoke. I get alot more passes out of them that way.

True, all the manufacturers recommend a short burn out. For us it's as soon as they start to smoke we move out of the burn out. Interestingly I fitted a racepak for this season, we get some wheelspin on the shifts lasting 0.1 and 0.2 sec but none on the start shruggy

Exactly! It's surprising how small of a burnout they need to be really sticky!

On a side note, Joey Hykel, the owner of the Beater Bomb no prep car was talking about how they only use a pair of tires for 6-7 passes and then replace them. shocked He said they fall off significantly after 8 passes! I think this was bias ply Hoosiers, but still interesting to me how quickly they go away!

Bias tires I can get 100 plus runs. And no, I don't do a big burn out at all.

I get 140-180 out of MT pro bracket radials , mostly transbrake .
Hoosier drag radial slick im at about 60/70 passes so far .
Not sure i will get the same as MT BUT the Hoosier is quicker . Possibly as they are 1/2" shorter . They are better foot braking for me seem to not like tbrake as much . They are about 10lbs lighter and i am currently using them on a 8" rim as i only have 1 pair of 10s .
I need a solid burnout or i turn

I shoot for tire temp 20 degree over the track temp. pretty short burnout will usually get you there.

50 is about the limit I've found on my car with 295-65 ET Street radials.

When i was running 8.50 index, i used to run them until the cords were showing. How many runs?? well over 50. I remember going 8.40's with the cords showing. Lately i have been running them 30ish passes, but honestly the car has been broke or have been down for changes so i change them just to keep them fresh. IF given the chance, ill run them again to.....whenever as long as they are a year or less old.

I guess my real answer is if you have 8 sec or more ET car, and your suspension is working well....you can run them until???

....BAD A$$ STREET CAR.....

Forgot to say that usually the cords are showing on mine when I change them. They always seem to hook anyway. I don't notice the cords showing until I'm strapping the car down in the trailer, lol.
My car sees street use too, so my 50 passes might go further if it was race only. Your results may vary.
