For Sale, 1948 Plymouth business coupe.

Late 50s or early 60s circle track style car, built for street use. Has a cloth & vinyl 90s era 60/40 split bench seat with a fold down arm rest that could seat 3 people. The car has no back seat, never had one. Has a lot of out of sight lockable storage, and a huge trunk.

It is an old body on a more modern chassis. It uses a 1948 Plymouth title in my name (has been since 2012).It is a road proven, solid, and reliable car driven 6,000 miles in 2022. The 1990s split bench seat has a center lap belt and 3 point shoulder & lap belts for both outside seats.

All Mopar Drive train, 1990d Dodge Dakota chassis: Power disc front and 10" drum rear brakes. Power rack and pinion steering. 3.9 throttle body fuel injected V6 with a 5 speed manual OD trans and a good clutch. 3:55 gear limited slip 8 1/4 rear end with 225 75 R 15 tires that were new in 2018 mounted on steel wheels.

Modern Halogen headlights ~ LED replacement 48 Plymouth tail lights ~ LED 3rd brake light with sequential turn signals ~ back up camera ~ modern windshield wipers~ functioning heat and defroster (no AC)
The car was painted in 2018 ~ The door numbers are hand painted ~ The trunk lettering is vinyl (the lettering can be removed with out paint damage).

The car was built to be a care free fun car to drive. It was never intended to be perfect (I wanted it to look like an old race car the first week of the racing season). IF YOUR LOOKING FOR PERFECTION, KEEP LOOKING, THIS ONE ISN"T IT! It runs out great and drives very nice, it gets a lot of thumbs up. The car gets a consistent 17 mpg around town and about 22 mpg @ 65 mph. Will run with traffic on the Interstate.

We have enjoyed this car for many years, but my freshly build 49 Dodge truck has captured my attention. We though we should pass this still road worthy, fun driving car, on to someone else to enjoy.

It has just gotten a fresh tune up (plugs, cap, rotor & wires), a fresh oil (10W 30) filer change, and a lube job, a complete brake inspection, and I have repacked the front wheel bearings. The car has a new 2 day old battery. It is ready for the cruising season!

Asking $12,500 ~ No trades.
IF YOUR LOOKING FOR PERFECTION, THIS IS NOT THE CAR YOU WANT.

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO GET IN AND CRUISE TODAY, WITHOUT CONCERNS (Fil the gas, check the oil, drive, no need to be concerned about rain, it still works in the rain too), THIS IS IT.

Reasonable in person offers considered (1/2 the asking price is not reasonable).

We don't need to sell it. If it doesn't sell we will still drive it.

PM me here, email: eugene74@myyahoo.com

The car is located in Freeport IL 61032

Got close up pictures for anyone interested. will take a picture of anything you want, nothing to hide here.

yeah I know crazy what were they thinking kinda build I bought this Plymouth last month just for the built Koffel's Place 10-71 blown injected 426 Hemi before I pull the drive train just want to see if any interest in the rolling body.
1940 Plymouth panel delivery truck roller no engine or trans was set up for 426 Hemi. I don't know much about it but was told it was built by Red's Speed Shop in Michigan.the frame and suspension was built pretty good to handle that blown injected 426 Hemi power does have a chrome straight axle front suspension, tubbed with 9 inch Ford rear. the panel truck body needs work has holes in doors. $15,500 for the rolling shell no engine or trans or $55,500 complete with the 10-71 blown injected 426 Hemi.
