FedEx does ok around here as does UPS, however USPS has been out performing both of them lately.

both FedEx and UPS has a delivery option to change the ship address mid route to a local pack and ship store. UPS does charge extra for this. just change the delivery to the pack and ship store and delivery problems are gone other than picking up during their open hours. The nearest pack and ship store is 75 miles away. Next. a LOT of Office Max stores ship and accept FedEx packages. i know there are a couple of Ace Hardware stores near me that are accept and ship locations also. i am sure there are other businesses that do this also. could be worth the attempt to find local business that do this.

No go on Office Max also. There has never been a FedEx store within a 75 mile radius of me in the 44 years I've lived here. There is a UPS pickup point about 10 miles away but that is just for sending, not receiving. Currently according to the UPS website there are 21 UPS locations in ND. 21. There used to be three local business' that were UPS shipping locations but now there are none. Two closed because they felt it was too much hassle for what they were making. The third (the local ACE store) quit because the owner started resenting the amount of Amazon boxes that were being returned. His way of refusing to contribute to Amazon's bottom line.

The town I searched was not the same as you just listed that's why I said If you are in the same city as the XXX XXth AVE NE , sorry. Mike Sorry for overreacting. Yeah, I might be a bit too touchy on this topic. It's just after years of battling this with no end in sight..... I mean really, FedEx has my correct address in their database and still ships to the wrong address? Incompetent doesn't even cover that.

sadly, if i were wanting a special[ty] battery, and had to order one, i would check out a battery "warehouse" place that would be semi-close by and do an in-person request. any problems arising from the order would be a lot easier to deal with. having said that, i am very luckily to have a battery place only about a mile and a half from my driveway. they can get any type and size i could possibly want, and their prices are [slightly] cheaper than the parts stores or dealerships.

Fedex just delivered a battery to me and dispite all the arrow stickers telling which way was up ,four stickers and four printed on the box, they managed to lay it on its side a a good bit of the acid leaked out. Problem is that the battery was bagged up and you could'n't tell it leaked until I went to take it out of the box. Acid everywhere. Filed a claim and we will see what happens. Like I said above, probably laid a trailer on it's side and then put your battery on the next trailer as they found it...LOL

It was labled corrisive and packed so tight it couldn't move in the box plus being wrappeed in a thick plastic bag. That's why I didn't know it leaked until I got it out of the box. I will update as it goes along. Stumpy did you sign for it and accept it from the FedEx driver or did they just put it on the front porch? If they just put it on the front porch WAIT to make a claim!! Check and see if they sent a tracking confirmation either by email or on their tracking site if they just dropped it off on your porch. I just had a FedEx package delivered last Tuesday and THROWN onto the porch (wife watched them do it from about 20 feet away). I didn't know it had arrived so I went to "Track Package" and they had a photo of our porch with the package laying there and sure enough the photo was taken about 20 feet away confirming what my wife said. It would be great luck if they had a photo confirming their delivery with your battery on its side, Mike

If there is no photo on their (FedEx) delivery confirmation ask if they have one or better yet before you ask for a photo make a claim that the package hasn't arrived and see if they come back with a photo. Here's my Rock Auto package as it was on the snow-covered porch, with the delivery person's image on the storm door glass taking the photo. My wife was on the other side of the door waiting for the delivery person to get closer to the porch before opening the door in subzero temps but the delivery person decided it was too much trouble (to lazy) to knock and deliver an already five-day late package. Oh and YES the corner of the package had a ding where it hit the porch from 20 feet, but no big deal for what was inside this package. Can't say that if it had been something heavier and more fragile. Mike

They emailed me today with a bunch of questions. Like what color and how many stories is my house and was I left a attempted deliver card. They obviously didn't read my complaint. I decided not to have to put up with the bs and bought a box of battery acid and refilled the battery. Total of $12 bucks to deal with it. That's what they hoped you would do. Now it's no longer their problem.
