I've been searching for info on throwing a 2007 hemi in my dart. The hemi was meant for my 55 dodge pickup, but moving the firewall back 6 inches is gonna kill legroom. So i'm thinking about finding a v-6 for the truck and using the hemi and trans in the dart. Any info on what i'm gonna run into in the swap?

Thanks in advance. Kevin

We did one in 2007 and used an Alter-K-Tion K-frame, Imagine injection, and a Rocky Mountain dash with all the factory wiring. I have seen others with a completely stock 5.7, most people I know that did it used a truck engine...

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Yes, they are using Holley mounts and such. Moves the engine forward 1.5" I think and there is a new front timing cover so the alt doesn't hit the frame rail. I wish they would keep the modern auto in the 1 instead of using a 727 though. I realize it would cost quite a bit more but the modern trans is much better for cruising. If only racing, then I can see saving the bucks.
