one thing i have always wondered, what was the front wheel bolt pattern ? if it was 4 1/2", were the hubs drilled that instead of the standard A-body 4", or were different hubs used ? if different hubs were used, what were they ? another item i picked up from those pictures, it looks like the rear wheel openings were hacked out with an axe. i'm guessing they were rough cut with whatever, then folded up into the opening so as to not have [too many] sharp edges ? thank you for posting those pictures.

The rotors were used out of the parts bin and were 4-1/2" bolt pattern. The wheel wells were hacked pretty badly but what you see in the close up is bad taping of the gloss black they sprayed in the wheel wells after the hack job... Buy Jim Schild's book on the Hemi A-Body's for more info... https://www.manciniracing.com/19dabahessau.html

So the Darts had radiused rear wheel openings, but not the B-Fishes? Yes because the wheel wells were more round and didn't cover the tire like the Darts so the B-Body Dana could be used also...

rhino, you said the rotors were out of the parts bin with the 4 1/2" pattern. were they B-body rotors, and were the B-body spindles used as well, or did they use different bearings to fit the A-body spindles ? i know i need to get the book.

The rotors were used in 1966 on the Trans Am Mopars. They are a basically a small bolt pattern rotor with bolt pattern drilled differently and machined for larger diameter center register. The spindles and calipers are the same as small bolt pattern production line stuff. Bob Tarozzi helped on the "Team Starfish" Trans Am car. So he was well aware of special parts. Here’s Bob’s pin from the 1966 Trans Am race at Sebring

Is that the AAR diorama from Mopars In Scale, or the world's largest lapel pin ?! No, it’s from one of my display cases The pin was Bob Tarozzi’s that created the 68 Hemi Super Stock cars. I have a 3” thick scrapbook of his involvement with the 66 Trans Am program.
