I have the Mopar -1 aluminum head out of the box untouched, what cc is this head and what is the cc on the stock iron head?

Mopar gave NHRA a spec of 168.5 CC for the iron 426 heads, they were never anywhere close to that stock. Always bigger by 10 to 20 CC.
I raced a street hemi in NHRA stock for several years back in the mid 1970, none of the stock used heads I bought were close to that , all of them at 180.0 CC+, I also saw around 4.0 CC variance in the combustion chambers on all of stock those heads shock shruggy
I did have one set of the Mopar aluminum heads to build a motor for a customer and they were supposed to be 175.00 CC blueprinted shruggy

Pretty sure my aluminum MP heads were 170 cc when new. Don't have my logbook here w/ me, but I'll try to remember to check it when I get home.

Make sure they are not already milled. If so they may be in the 168-70 range.

I've only measured two sets, one -M and one Victor Jr, and I must admit my tools are backyard quality at best*, but I came up with 170cc on one set and 172 on the other.

*ML syringe, an old beat up piece of plexiglass with a couple holes drilled in it, water, and some chassis grease.... because I'd rather measure best as I can rather than not.
