2 part question, I'm close to first start on my swap.

1) where did you mount the DLC (scanner port) used to read engine codes?
2) what outputs are available on this port? Curious if oil pressure and temperature are available real-time?
Don't think I'd trust my 70 gauges

Follow up to maybe help someone else,
Bought a cheapo scanner from Amazon for $20.
It provides real time data for RPM and coolant temp.
I'm betting a more expensive scanner would provide more, but this does what I need for now.

I used a ScanGauge on the last OBII vehicle I owned. Seem like any input that is fed to your PCM can be read out on this device. There's a basic list on the website here. Many other neat features added over the past few years such as the performance pages.

The new touchscreen display model would be great for engine swaps.
