Why is it such a big deal to YOU if we don't? I don't care either way, I just find it odd, ok, annoying that certain members feel they have to announce it with every FB post. It's as if they're proud of it. For the same amount of effort, someone could post 'hey, can someone post pics of it?' I'd be more than happy to post pics, or be the go between to give info from the ad if you choose not to do FB.

 Some of us don't care to have our lives spread all over for people to use to steal our identity. Stumpy, you can be on Farcebook and post nothing about yourself. As far as 'stealing your identity' its not limited to Farcebook. In our electronic world, it can happen anywhere, anytime, shoot, probably even here too.........

I forgot I was already a member of the channel referenced in this thread. That being said though, if you're on FB, its (usually) not an issue to join a private group, I've joined several (not just car stuff). Private channels cut down on nonsense and spam type posts within the group.

When you join a Facebook group you get email notification all.the time. Kinda like Facebook Spam.
Justv,FYI The only EMAIL notifications I get are from admin of a channel, otherwise everything goes to FB's notifications. There's a setting somewhere, I just don't remember where at the moment.  EDIT: under notification settings you can change where messages go....... Also, on the home page of a channel, you can go to their notification settings and control who/what contacts you. Guys, I've had more than my share of issues with FB, but for me, once past the BS, the good outweighed the bad. If you want to continue to dislike FB, that's your prerogative.  .
