I have this slant six air cleaner and was wondering if it has any value or should I toss it?

i remember hearing somewhere a long time ago, [?] the early slant covers were the same, or the same diameter, as the max wedge air cleaner tops. [not the big diameter MW air cleaner tops]
i don't remember where i heard it, or even if it's true.
does anyone else remember this, or know if it's even remotely true or not ?
just an old man throwing out musings from the cobweb filled "storage facility" of his noggin. biggrin

I vaguely remember that too, I think I read it in MCG a long time ago?

Regardless, the slanty lid looks way too deep/tall to work. scope shruggy

Yeah, I remember hearing - back in the '80s, I think - that the lids were the same.
More technical fiction, which many create and/or repeat. And MCG prints some whoppers.
Uh, outside diameter maybe, but height, no way: that's more than double Maxie lid height.
I've been lucky to GIVE Slant 6 stuff away - not that I doubt someone, somewhere, is looking for that part - but the trick is finding him.

I used to use those on carb covers when I stored
Engines for awhile.

oh yeah, MCG...............
well that explains it !........ and come to think of it, with all the slanty cars that came through my junkyard back in the day, they all had the small can top.
pretty good idea to use as a carb cover though. up
