Per Wikipedia:

225 /6: 145 HP/215 lb-ft Torque
Mitsubishi forklift motor: 105 HP/ 169 lb-ft Torque

Supposedly bolting a turbo on helped, but more air requires more fuel so that kills it's main reason for existence...

I owned a couple from that era w/the slanty. They weren't very fast, I cannot imagine something being somewhat slower. It was the times I suppose.
