Having seen Roy run the 62 he mentions at a local track all the way through his dominance of PS he has always remained the most down to earth person you can imagine. So many racers with championships on their resumes change (listen to driver interviews, I won’t mention names) but not the Johnsons. A true legend.

Just an awesome interview , we have talked to Roy many times at Indy , & always walked away like he was family . He talked to everyone the same .

Good interview. Where we race, we get to see Roy & his wife quite regularly. Allen's brother Randy, bracket races a S-10 pick up at Bristol and a small 1/8 mile track in Rogersville, Tn almost every week. A small trailer, not a very fast truck, don't win much, but they have a LOT of fun and are very good people to be around.

Such a great guy !!! .. back in 2014 we were running at the Englishtown National meet in 11.50 index as part of an exhibition , Pro Stock was running right in front of us as we were coming around the wall towards the water box ..Roy and Allen were a few cars in front of us waiting to make their run and there was some type of hold up on the track .. Roy saw my Dart and came back and started talking to me and my friend about the car... I will never forget it ... I should have taken a picture
