Has anyone attempted this? Curious on seat height, placement, front to rear travel, etc. I’m sure anything can be done, and rare for anything to be as easy as to drill and bolt right. More curious on how much work it would require.

A friend put Hellcat seats in his 70.....not sure what mods were required. He also used a Hellcat console. Sorry I do not have photos.

Thanks 70GTX! That's what I'm planning to do. Car is a convertible 70 Challenger getting Hellcat engine, dash, column and console. Debating on seats. When you speak to him next can you ask your friend if it required any major modifications?

Since you have a convertible maybe consider some seats that have a built in shoulder seat belt if the car will be a driver.

BMW convertibles and ChyslerSebring/200 convertibles are a couple models to check out.

SRT seats, while extremely comfortable are very large, bulky and heavy. They would look out of place in an E-body IMO. If you want modern seats check out BMW 3 or 5-series seats, the Brits have been putting them in restored and LS powered Land Cruisers and they always look amazing

I have a 5 series, I dunno if I'd call them comfortable for long drives, but then again I have a bony derriere.

Thats a good point, I hadn't thought of that. I think I'd just have to see them in the car. And agreed, I like the BMW seats too.

I'll have to ask him.
I thought he used SRT seats, but I could be wrong on that.
