Thought this student film from back in the day was interesting. A street race between a 67 Coronet 550 and GTO with a police chase in the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btmVGp5XqXU

Propaganda revisionist history, should at least come with a Dragnet disclaimer, "the names have been changed and actors used for an actual event..........", right. Student must have been caught smoking on school property and the film was his penance..
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Funny, II did a similar 8mm film for media and communication class. Kid walks into drug store gift shop and prowls the aisles, I did taratino type camera angles through the shelves, in the curved mirror to catch theives, from the floor, overhead, he grabs dome glass paperweight type thing and pockets in and continues to prowl, walks up the the clerk and exchanges (voiceless) plesantries then starts to leave the store jusas he hits the sidewalk, mr mad pharmacist owner heavy hand on the shoulder cut to The End. All done to the theme of the good the bad and the ugly. High school was very fun in the 70's, We also did an entire newscast, with the brainiac kid being the anchor, a ditz blond side kick and very busty weather gal, a math wiz business dialog, a jock sports caster and even included commercials with one students dog getting dog food that accidentally fell out of can onto the guys foot and the dog promptly devoured it. High school was really fun. The teacher of that class later got relieved of her job because she was carrying on with some of her students. We always wondered, short skirts and we were often left wondering does she, or doesn't she? Very fun, attention grabbing and somewhat educational.

I've recently seen this film and must say that it's an amazing one! Not gonna lie, I didn't believe that it was a student film, because the work was done great. I'm also a film student and I know how hard to make such a result, you need a lot of time for it and sometimes you even can't find any time for homework. I found a solution by using some sources such as https://essays.studymoose.com/hiring-an-effective-assignment-writer to get help with it. But it's still a hardworking process. I'm proud of the guys who did it.

That it not my reality, I street raced 5-6 nights a week, some nights 25 gallons through the car at 10 mpg, 250 miles a night we cruised and raced so much. Worst I ever got on the multiple times pulled over was a 10 minute lecture in the back of a police car. Most of the times there biggest complaint was... "You didnt see me"? When focused on the car sitting beside me at the light and watching the other lights turn red getting ready for my green it was hard to see some...even when they were 2 cars back.
STOP POTATO HATE!

First time I have seen an Olds cop car. Had a friend who was parts manager at the Elkhart Olds dealer, Bill Elsey Oldsmobile. When they sold the dealership, he gave me a bunch of obsolete cop car stuff. Those things even had titanium wheel studs and lugnuts.... way back in 1967!!! -- > hemmings.com/stories/article/1967-oldsmobile-b07-cop-car < --
July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.

I have to assume the film was done back in the day those cars were new, or pretty close to it. Even the cap car was a 68 or 69 Olds. I did my car stuff 10 years later, things were different by then.
I worked in the gas station where most of our town cops had their personal cars serviced and tuned up. I knew most of them by their first names. The few time I actually got pulled over was a lecture time, with the cop talking to me through my car window, but most of the time those discussions took place at work a few days later. Most of our local cops and myself had a mutual agreement. I'd try not to do stupid stuff, and they would try to not have to pull me over. It worked out pretty good for me. i worked in the local body shop, starting in 1968. i knew all of the locals, and the mutual agreement above was exactly the same ! the STUPIDEST thing i got stopped for, was heading home after a "bar fest". as luck would have it, "Chief Earl" stopped me. he asked where i thought i was going, and i said "home". he said he : "was going to follow me, and i better not go over 10 ^%$%$#% miles an hour !".... and if he saw me in town again that night he was : "going to lock me up and throw away the "#$@@#%$###@%%#$#@@# keys !" as i lived a little over 1/4 of a mile out of the city limits, it was a pretty unnerving drive home, not going over the "descriptive" 10 miles an hour in the shape i was, with the Chief following me ! i made it home, parked the car, and staggered toward the house. the Chief turned his car around, and said : "remember what i said !".........he then waved, and went back to patrol. you sure as he!! wouldn't be treated that way today ! [and rightly so !] but back then was a different time and place............
