I could never wait 9 months. But they do say time flys as you get older.

": WELL ITS THAT TIME AGAIN... CARS PUT IN HIBERNATION"

A phrase members from SoCal will never have to use.

Mine usually doesn't get driven unless I have to move it out of the garage. If I have to move it I will go drive it regardless of the temp as long as the roads are clear. I don't like to start it unless I can get it to operating temp. Its amazing how much condensation gets in the motor on a short start in cold weather.

We have crazy winters in Oklahoma, it can be negative temps one week and 70 degrees that weekend. The downside is they salt the roads pretty heavy if we get bad road conditions.

i'll drive mine al winter long until they dump a ton of salt down. then as conditions allow.. can't imagine putting them away already if bad weather hasn't arrived yet.

I tend to drive the wheels off my car, so I'm pretty happy to have a couple months to get everything ready for the next driving season. An all year around driving season would mean I'd have to do some repairs during the driving season, and those kind of repairs, though they do occasionally happen even now, still suck. When everything gets brought up to par during an off season, it make the season more enjoyable. Its easier to tolerate the little inconvenient things that happen towards the end of the season knowing you have a few months to fix it coming soon.

Yes, it's getting to be that time of year.

Fall color tour this Sunday, then the wife and I will take a few weekend drives for as long as the weather continues to allow, but the 2022 season is fast drawing to a close.

Same here. The weather is getting colder, days are getting shorter. Time to prepare for winter building season. I've got a list on mine that needs to be addressed after a great year of driving.

Edit - starting with the blown-out radiator that put the car in the garage about a week early. rant

Here in southern Illinois, it is hardly a paradise. But today is supposed to be a nearly perfect day, near 80 and sunny. There is a little Mopar oriented get together an hour or so south of us. Several of us will caravan down and spend the day cooking out and talking Mopar and some other things. Just a fun relaxing day with friends. Really looking forward to it.

We are just far enough south that I don't have to put the Cuda in moth balls. Every few weeks through the winter, there is usually a day or so that is warm and dry enough that I can get the Cuda out, drive it a bit, and put some fresh gas in it. Just enough to keep it limbered up and fresh.

Master, again and still

I live about 3 hours north of you. On 12 -24-2021 it was a great day, so I took the car out for a 50 mile drive. Perfect.

I’m two hours east of you on Chinook pass now. 6 car garage and 4 cars. 250ish days of sun but the winter snowfall is normally brutal Jan and Feb.

Had a weather pattern change this past Friday night/Saturday morning . . . damn system parked over us, and has DUMPED 20cm (8 inches) of snow on us here. Glad I tucked everything away and been ready for this . . . UGGHHH - worst of it, is that the temp is around 0-2C (32-34F) and it's that damn WET SLOPPY COASTAL type snow - not the light fluffly powder we normally get . . . spent 2hrs shovelling yesterday !! . . . and now for today and rest of next week, temps coming back to normal and sunshine . . .
