Weather is getting cold and my shop heat isn't installed yet. Needed a pair of work gloves that weren't bulky and stumbled on Napa having a 50% off sale on Mechanix gloves. Not sure if they normally list them for $28 as indicated but they're only $15 now. If you're getting soft like me here's the link.

The ones from Harbor Freight are at least half the price of anywhere else and are just as good in my opinion. But lately I've been using the $1 black rubber coated gloves from Home Depot. They don't soak up grease and oil, they protect from electric shock, they grip things well and they still offer some warmth. At at a buck a pair I have no second thoughts about tossing them out more frequently.

i'm not one to get cold hands [or feet], but if i want a glove, i like those brown jersey types.
i know they soak up grease, oil, and other grimy/slimy stuff, but they work better with my hands than the rubber types do.
as my bare hands are [mostly] always doing the work, i always have a red shop rag tucked into my back pocket, hanging out to be at the ready.
good thing there aren't any "gangs" around here........... biggrin

I like the Mechanix gloves.
I like black nitrile gloves.

I have discovered that “Bicycle Rider Gloves”
fit snug around finger tips but stretch
and allow me to do detailed & delicate work while still gloved.

Fast Orange is good for greasy clean up
followed by “Udderly Smooth Body Cream” for still black finger nail crevices.

Mrs Meyer’s Clean Day hand lotion
absorbs most quickly into the skin
after handling alcohols, gasoline, and Tide-like detergents
that strip natural human oil out of finger nail edges
and create painful skin cracks.
