That reminds me of the 71 R/T that I had way back when. I remember distinctly that on the one side one of the tubes was just a little less than 1/4" longer than the other one. I remember looking at it every time I washed the car.

YES THE TIP LENGTHS THEMSELVES ARE NOT PERFECT...AND I HAD 15 SETS OF NOS ONES TO PICK THRU FOR THE BEST PAIR... MOST WERE LIKE MINE

SOME WERE PRETTY BAD BUT MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT AS PICKY AS I AM...

Chrysler sold a ton of different tips over the years. Tube size was different end some came out in one outlet and some in both. Some were welded up the bottom and some were not. The differences are plenty over the years both on the Challenger and over the counter.
