2023 MEMBERSHIP AND LICENSE INFORMATION
MEMBERSHIP & LICENSE: (TRANSFER OF A CURRENT LICENSE):
To make the transition to WDRA a value and not a financial hardship for the racers that support WDRA member tracks, WDRA will offer a $1 transfer of a valid license for any racer that has their home track join WDRA in 2023. License transfers will receive full WDRA membership benefits including insurance.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO:
1. On January 1, 2023 racers will download a WDRA membership application from
www.racewdra.com.2. Complete the form and submit the membership form and a copy of your valid license to WDRA.
3. WDRA will return to you a WDRA license identical in class and expiration date as the one you submitted to transfer. The cost is $1.
MEMBERSHIP & LICENSE: (NEW WITH CURRENT LICENSE):
If your home track joins WDRA for 2023 and your existing license expires in the first part of the 2023 season, you would be joining WDRA as a NEW member. When you join as a new member and you have a few months left on your existing license, WDRA will add the number of months left on your current license to your new WDRA license at no charge. That way you don’t lose any value of a license that has not yet expired when you join WDRA.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO:
1. On January 1, 2023 racers will download a WDRA membership application from
www.racewdra.com.2. Complete the form and submit the membership form and a copy of your valid license to WDRA.
3. WDRA will return to you a WDRA license identical in license level and with extra months of membership added to it. The cost is $100 ($80 for Juniors) and the Sportsman Drag Racing Championship registration and car number is included. The cost for a general membership and license without SDRS registration is only $50.
MEMBERSHIP & LICENSE: (NEW WITH LICENSE THAT EXPIRED IN THE LAST 24 MONTHS)
If your license expired during the last 24 months, you can use it to join WDRA as a new member and receive the same license level as your expired license without having to make licensing runs again.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO:
1. On January 1, 2023 racers will download a WDRA membership application from
www.racewdra.com.2. Complete the form and submit the membership form and a copy of your expired license to WDRA.
3. WDRA will return to you a WDRA license identical in license level. The cost is $100 ($80 for Juniors) and the Sportsman Drag Racing Championship registration and car number is included. The cost for a general membership and license without SDRS registration is only $50.
MEMBERSHIP & LICENSE: (NEW WITH NO LICENSE OR EXPIRED LONGER THAN 24 MONTHS):
If you have never had a license or your license is more than 24 months past expiration, you can easily join WDRA as a new member.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO:
1. On January 1, 2023 racers will download a WDRA membership and license application from
www.racewdra.com.2. Complete the forms and submit the membership form and the license form (your WDRA track operator will have to sign off on your licensing runs) to WDRA.
4. WDRA will return to you a WDRA license equivalent to your approved licensing runs. The cost is $100 ($80 for Juniors) and the Sportsman Drag Racing Championship registration and car number is included. The cost for a general membership and license without SDRS registration is only $50.
CAR NUMBER:
As racers ourselves we understand the need to maintain existing car numbers. We view your car number like your cell phone number….when you change carriers you bring your number with you. Racers will request their existing car number during the transfer or new registration process.
CHASSIS CERTIFICATION:
All valid NHRA and IHRA chassis certifications will be honored for the 2023 season. A list of WDRA chassis certification officials and inspection dates will be posted on
www.racewdra.com as they become available for 2023 for anyone that needs a new inspection.
