Shot this at the convention center lot during Endless Summer Cruisin' on 10/8.
'66 Coronet 500. I saw the 440 callouts and asked the owner what engine it had originally, and he said it was an original 440 car. Console automatic and factory air, too, although the a/c parts aren't currently installed.
I've read that Chrysler wanted to ensure they had enough of the new-for-'66 440 for the Imperial and the Chrysler New Yorker, which had it as their standard engines, so they didn't exactly encourage ordering it in other models. It's not even listed as an option in the '66 Coronet brochure, but that could mean it was introduced partway through the model year.
