Do any of you guys have any pictures of the throttle rods which show how they are hooked up to the center carb and end carbs? I think I have it, but want to make sure. Thanks, Kevin

Thanks Bob

This picture is not my engine. I am running some stock bolts.

They make two different lengths of H bolts. The 1.250 are for four barrels with the thick base gasket. Six pack used the 1.00” ones.

That intake and carbs is nicely detailed but the center pivot is not the correct oem one. That is an aftermarket piece. The oem used a pin with a clip instead of a bolt. Several companies sell the correct one. I think shakerhood.com does.

just a tip.....the back mechanical return rod is VERY close to the intake and if installed backwards, it can just barely hang up against the intake when you are at wide-open-throttle & make the carburetors stick wide open (ask me how I know)

Exactly what happened to me in 1970 with my A12.
Showing off with a buddy in the car on an on-ramp, it hung up!!!

While I was busy stamping on the pedal and avoiding cars, my friend had the presence of mind to turn the key off.
My hair still stands up thinking about that one.

Joe

I’ll check originals vs the two sizes I just bought from them. They probably are 1-1/8” long. The longer ones are for the thick Carter gaskets on the four barrel.
