I've been trying to contact them without any luck. Does anyone know if they are still in business or not?

Oh man I sure hope so! I had a radiator done by them about 2 years ago.

Bob brought me a radiator at the Mopar Nationals that I gave him at the Minnesota show, perfect as usual! I know he was going on vacation AGAIN, but should be available. PM me if you need his cell phone number... wave

Good old school radiator repair shops are hard to find anymore. I went to my old standby shop here in town a few weeks ago, only to find out they were gone out of business. I knew of another one an hour away, so I took him my 2998 974 and a 2998 949 to recore. It was a 120-mile round trip, but they do fantastic work at a good price.

Yup..
Independent radiator and muffler shops are going out of biz..
Either the biz has fallen off and/or the original owner has passed on or retired....
Here is SoCal we just lost our single local radiator specialist, this guy was incredible he built me my radiator for my 70 RR...

Just my $0.02... wink

they are like machine shops and other small businesses all falling due to TWO issues, IMO

1. The younger generation isn't interested in learning the trade or taking them over.

2. China and the US retailers that sell their cr-p while the Big boys pocket the profits make it real hard to compete.

The EPA has put several out of business in my county in Illinoise. Only one shop left here... frown

Most of the tanks on modern production radiators are plastic anyway. Not much left to "rebuild" when those crack.

Like turning brake rotors--saving a few pounds and a few pennies on the front end, and keep that "throwaway" mentality going.

When I was a kid, my grandma lived across from a TV repair shop. When's the last time you saw one of those?

That sounds reasonable. In May of 1990 I had my 440 Challenger radiator recored. Cost me $200. I was making $9.65 an hour at that time!

Keep old mopars alive.

Some of this is funny.

How many here pay enough for a pair of shoes to pay a shop the going rate that the owner needs as well as volume or work to stay in business?

How many people in the real world need a radiator shop? ( Here we have several that do good work because its a rural farming area.)

Need shoes fixed? How many here got a pair that need new soles that can cost $500-$1000 or to have done?

Plenty of shoe repair shops where there is a demand.

Just a follow up,
I happened to have a need today, called them an got a quick answer on the phone.
I had heard some rumors the business had been sold, so i inquired and was told they are still owned by the same family with the same employees except for the father who is semi retired and the son will be taking the business over eventually. up

Tell me about it. Put new rear drums on my R/T, first day driving to work they warped. Turned the old ones, and still driving on them.

The place I go to is filled with industrial equipment radiators, big rigs, fork lifts, dump trucks, stuff like that, but offered plenty of options to recore automotive radiators.

I bought several NOS brake drums for my cars years ago, glad I kept them around.
