Has anyone replaced the stock factory wire clip that holds the internal parts of the factory lifter? There is an internal groove that the clip fits in to. I would like to replace that with something more robust. Of all the internal C-clips out there, there must be something that fits. HELP! Thanks, Dyno

I have years ago. I use Jesel Lifters now. I'll have to look to see what I used last. I remember that I got a bunch of samples of various sizes from Smalley when I did it, and used what fit best. I'll do some digging this evening.

A little update. Because I could not find any company that makes a solid roller lifter for the Gen 3 Hemi, I purchased a new set of Dodge lifters from Summit. I bought the WH-59 small spiral lock from Smalley. They do have a minimum $25.00 order, so I was very surprised to see 166 locks in the bag! If anyone wants to do the same, send me your address. After removing the spring and ball from the inside of the new lifters, it takes .148 - .150 small washer shim to bring the cup up to the retaining lock. It takes a little time to get the lock in the groove, but it locks in tight. Thanks for the help! Dyno
