My wife loves her PT. I don't mind driving it so much, but it is a royal pain to work on. The front inner fenders follow the hood line, and the 4 cylinder is under the hood crossways. There is not enough room for me to get my hand between the motor and the right side inner fender. When my wife told me she wanted one, I opened the hood and told her I wasn't working on it, she would have to pay someone to fix it. She said "OK" and bought it anyway. I don't do much work on it, and its been here for 16 years and nearly 150K miles. Been a pretty good car!
When you put your foot into it, you better be ready, the little turbo spools up pretty quick, and gets with the program.

Never was a fan. IMHO they should have been mini van sized to be practical as they claimed. Best thing that happened was making it a 2 door convertable before being killed off. twocents

I think they missed the mark by not offering a 'panel' version like Chevy did with their HHR.......

The biggest thing was they classed them as trucks to help cheat the CAFE numbers.

Same deal with all manufacture's mini "VAN". Not only CAFE but emissions and certain Federal Motor Vehicle Standards, My wife used to point out how my '85 full size VAN didn't have head restraints (aka head rests) when my nearly 20 year older GTX did.....why's that she would ask??
