68 fenders are even further out than 67 or 69, they are by themselves. There were lots of differences in the headlight bucket area for all three years. I bought an 11,000 mile 69 Dart from the original little old lady owner and something seemed off on the front. When I got it home I noticed it had a 67 fender on the passenger side, the 69 headlight bezel was off by about an inch, so I am sure visa versa would be the same. I have a pair of each fenders, grilles, and headlight bezels laying around, I need to bolt them all on a spare body I have and see what the real differences are...

Not that long ago, I was fixing up a '68 Dart 270. The right side had been hit and fixed long ago. The right fender had been replaced apparently with a new one and the Chrysler part number was still visible inside the fender. Now clearly the fender was not originally built for a '68. The headlight bucket was moved/replaced. And the top of the fender above the headlight was different than the '68s. I have always wondered if it came that way from Mopar or had been modified at a shop.

i was under the impression you could the complete nose [67, 68, 69, 70, etc] assembly on all darts up to around 73 or so ? in other words, the panels would bolt on, but in order to fit and look correct, you need to use all the like year parts. [fenders, hood, grille, etc.]

[fenders, hood, grille, etc.] Yes, entire doghouses are interchangeable except that in late 69 there were tabs added for the upcoming lower valance for the 70-72 Dart and Demon on the lower core support, if your body does not have those tabs then you have to figure out how to mount the valance...
