Putting my car back together 70 B-Body, 440/727. It utilizes a Lokar floor shifter. The previous owner installed it and used a combination of fitting to relocate the Trans Cooler Line around the linkage.

Has anyone else had to do this? Better solution?

I don't mean to be offensive but that looks like kluge and a problem waiting to happen when you least need it to. I would be finding a way to work around that even going back to factory linkage if needed. Why someone would choose to put one of those in a 70 b body is realcrazy IMO.
It doesn't help that I'm not overly fond of lokar's poorly engineered cr-p frown

more pic's may help beer

It appears if one removed the 2nd elbow and pipe nipple, then threaded the flared x 1/8 NPT fitting straight into the first elbow ( pointing it more forward) you would still have a kluge but a better one shruggy

not a fan of lokar "stuff" either.
it looks like the fittings need to be removed, then use a 90 degree 1/8npt male to 5/16 [maybe 1/4 ?] female tube fitting.
point it toward the front, then bend the output line to fit around the linkage in all positions it might encounter.

Doesn't look like a 90 to tube will thread in without hitting the case frown

i think you are correct.
i just looked at a case, and it's too close for anything but the original fitting or a nipple to something else.
if a person had access to one of those tube benders that can do a tight 90 right at the fitting, that "might" work.
the best thing would be to scrap the lokar setup and start over. [just my opinion on what i would do]
