Has anyone ever swapped out a power rack, for a manual rack in a Gen 2 Dakota?

i did it in my shelby dakota (first gen), i can't imagine it's that much different. i used a mopar performance manual rack, from a 89 daytona.

did that swap need any modifications to the daytona rack, such as lengthening, shortening, or swapping tie rod ends ?

I just bypassed the fluid lines into each other, worked great till I went from skinny tires to real wide tires.


I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!
