I just turned 70 and still play with cars....just dont have the same enthusiasm as I did when younger.

I'm 63... and not sure if I'm coming or going some days. I was going to jump into a bunch of different things, then decided to just leave it at that.

In the lines at MIR the last time I was there I met a(nother) old guy who was there w/ his bracket '55 Chevy he'd trailered in. Just flying solo at the track... turned out he's 75; I told him he was my new hero

I just turned 70 this year. Overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease....if you read my medical description you'd think I was dead. But I was on my back on the front floor of one of my Belvedere's yesterday putting the steering column back in. Secret is that you always have to have a goal for tomorrow. It doesn't matter if you are slower or a nap is on the agenda for the day., but you always have to have a goal.

I cannot afford to be elderly...there are to many idiots out there that do not know how to work in the trades - so I have to do my own work if I want it done correctly!

Agree 100%. Everyone needs to be relevant in one form or another. Having a goal, a plan, means a future and optimism. A feeling of being in control of your own destiny.

One advantage to being elderly is getting a senior discount where offered.

What, id rather be 5-10 years younger and pay more .... But I see your trying for the upside of things we cant change.

I'm 66. The elderly are those 5 years older than me. At that rate, I'll never catch up!

Since I'm under 40 (just...) I guess that makes me young. Mentally, I'm the same energetic moron that signed up here when I was 17.

Physically, I've got the body of a retired daredevil.

I am 70 and hate asking for the senior discount so now I ask for a veteran discount.

If I feel old I just go to the local car cruise where many of the people look and are as old or older.
If my back and legs hurt too bad to walk around and see all of the cars then I am one of those guys that pulls a folding chair out of the trunk and sits on the sidewalk with the other old guys and talk about street racing 50 years ago lol.

When I attend a good-sized car show, the grey beards all start to look alike. Bench racing (war stories) will never grow out of style.

Turned 65 in July. That makes me 25 with 40 years seniority.

I pretty much feel 25 until I walk by a mirror and then it's oh that can't be accurate or I'm loading one of these and then it's for sure. Fortunately I have some younger help. He's only 59...

I'm 72 and I have noticed there is no law anywhere that makes you act your age! Do need my 2 foot step ladder to get up from the floor when under one of my projects (8).

I'm 59 , feel like 99 when I try to get up off the floor ...

But damm you guys are OLD ...

How many would pay $150 for a safe treatment that would knock 4 years off your “true biological age” ?
