So my top needs to be redone. I installed it myself and am just not happy with it. I dont feel like trying again and ruining another top. Anyone know of any good shops around the east bay area in california that could handle this for me?

How many people helped you install your top? The reason I ask is because I have installed a few; and it is always better to have at least 4 sets of hands to "stretch" the middle section. I think one time we had 6 sets and it was flawless. Also the softer the better---let it sit in the midday sun. Or you can pay a shop out there top dollar for them to do the same.

I had one extra set of hands. My problem wasnt so much pulling and stretching. The top looked great when first installed, however after a few months I just keep noticing more and more of it coming loose from the glue. I used 3m spray adhesive, I forget the # of the glue, but it was the stuff made for vinyl tops that everyone suggested.

California Covers in Oakland did the white convertible top on my '65 Caddy in ~01. It wasn't cheap but they did excellent work and were cool about using seals I bought elsewhere (@ Hydro-e-lectric). Still looks like new!
