Been doing some research for double or triple adjustable shocks for the rear of my car
Been looking at Afco and VIKING

It looks like VIKING has user adjustable valving for extra opportunities for future adjustment

Anyone used Viking?
Is anyone a dealer?

I have Vikings on my cuda and I like them. I'm sure there are better shocks out there, but they sure do cost a LOT more than the Vikings do. I've been pleased w/ mine.
If you make a lot of power, talk w/ them about the valving packages they have. up

I have them for the back of the '63. Need to get some DA fronts.

I haven't had a lot of time to test with them and have only run a few passes. Between the heat this summer and no prep available, I haven't gotten to the track.

They seem to do what they're supposed to and ride really smooth on the street on lower settings.

You will probably want to get the "Crusader" series that has some different valving options like Chip mentioned. I have the regular DA shocks front and rear on mine and I have been happy with them. I am running out of adjustment on the extension part of the rears but they have been worth the money and if I need to I will be going to the Crusader series. I have a few things to try first, like preload on the cal tracks and standing the shocks up more straight from the stock location.

Viking has a new series of Double-Adjustable shocks... they call them BISERKERS. Call and discuss.. I've found them very helpful... I have these new Biserkers on the rear of my Challenger... and they also have most of their shocks in different lengths for your needs (my car is lowered)... or else they will make them to your needs/specs.

No experience with Vikings. They seem to have a good rep. I have seen guys beat on QA1s pretty hard and they seem to hold up fairly well considering.

I like AFCOs. They make nice stuff and many custom shops use their components.

Admittedly, I'm a shock snob, but not everyone needs $4000 (or more) worth of shocks on their car. But it is easy to get outside the window of what a shelf shock can do with the power, suspensions and tires available today.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Put crusaders on my 10:00 bb a body two years ago . Upgraded the rears to stiffer valving . Good money spent as far as my budget.

I've considered Viking Crusaders as a rear damper upgrade from my archaic Rancho 5-ways. I'd like to hear more details about what valving and damping settings people who are running them successfully use.

FWIW, my application uses CalTracs, mono-leaf springs and DOT drag radials.

definately an upgrade . i went from rancho 9 ways to crusaders as my HP went up . I have only run radials on my Plymouth .
I have not needed to upgrade valving , though it may help . I really need them on the front but Aussie peso kills that .
I have comp on #10 , ext #5 , both from loose.

I have Crusaders all around on mine. I had to buy through a Canadian dealer. So far so good.

I just bought the regular DA fronts and Crusader DA rears for my car, they're running at about a 5 week lead time right now. Not sure I'll get to try them before the tracks close here, but I'm excited to test with them as soon as I can.
