Good morning. I was hoping to find a recommendation for 6x9 speakers for my 1970 Plymouth GTX. It has an original AM FM radio. Thank you in advance.

The rear 6x9 speakers hooked to your original am/fm non stereo low output radio will not add much re: quality sound. I recommend a modern upgrade to your am/fm including 180 W stereo and blue tooth. This can be done for about $500 or so and you cannot tell it has been modified. You can then choose some very nice modern speakers. You will also want to upgrade your single front speaker to modern 2 speaker setup that will fit the 4x10 opening. PM me if you would like more info. Joe

Is it a 6x9 speaker or an odd size slightly smaller? My '69 A12 Road Runner has the original speaker still in it and I thought it was (or looked) smaller than a 6x9? now I'll have to check and measure it.
