I may have put A body Lower Control arms on a B Body?
The sway bar tab is at the Bottom....

I had a bunch of Lower control Arms apart....
73 A Body I guess is a similar Lower Ball Joint to 69 B Body

I used the B-Body Pins to go through the K Frame....
They bolted up but.....
The 69 Sway Bar comes real close to the strut....
Actually hit on the Passenger side?????

Is there a dimensional difference in the 2 arms?
I aligned the car and it drives great!
I just found this

I

All A body LCAs have a flat spot across the bottom like this:

Finally, as odd as it will seem, the A body LCA is longer than this B LCA by 1/2" from the pin to the ball joint mount.

Thanks a lot for the pics. Now I see easier ways to identify!

Were any B bodies of the low mount tab sway bar style?
From FSM it appears A bodies were in 1969.
I’ll inspect closer.

I’m thinking it’s late 60’s A body by sway bar tab

Shorter B Body arm (lower) with correct “high mount” sway tab removed

The shock absorber mounting holes are a bit different between the two as well. I'd have to have them side by side to remind me of the difference.

Abody ones should be stamped VL (for Valiant Lancer)

Bbody one should be stamped P/D or R/W

Here’s the best pics after I went to shop to find some

B body a high sway bar tab has 1” rolled lip extending from shock hole.
A body has more of a gentle 2” flare serenading from shock hole out toward Ball Joint mount
