I attended this class Saturday and I would highly recommend it for anyone spraying or thinking about it!
He covers a lot of n/a tuning as well but the nitrous stuff is what Monte Smith used to teach before he passed. Lots of things that disprove a lot of what some "gurus" will tell you. Wayne has a cool shop with lots of neat Mopars being worked on to see while you are there, including the Legendary Brown Sugar!
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.
I wondered if Wayne was still moving forward with the classes or not, especially since Monte traveled facilitating the courses years ago. Glad to see he's still engaged in doing them. Wayne's a smart dude. Also glad to see he repaired and bringing Brown Sugar back to life! That car has a history of always being fast dating back to when it was Bruce Lagory's with its BES B1 power-plant.

I love streetking's cars, that '62 is a bad b2##!@h!!!
Wayne's shop is in Oklahoma, right? Great feedback on the class. Thanks!!
I believe Wayne's shop is is Oologah, Oklahoma, about thirty miles North of Tulsa.
Yep, middle of nowhere between Bartlesville and Tulsa.

I'd have driven right on by if not for that big yellow ford truck!
LOL! Yep, he had to give me the Google Maps address for his neighbor across the street because his address doesn't populate.

Nitrous was very popular in my days of racing and then the "its cheating brigade" voiced up but good to see it coming back, we have a new 7.60 class running here and a long time racer from back in my days who's still running his '68 pontiac with 540BBC power now who runs 8.80's@154 NA has got the bug, ran 7.85@175 with 1.15 60's last time out, there's 7.60's in it if he could get the 60's in the 1.0's

I've never understood that.
It adds air to engine the same as any other power adder be it a supercharger or turbo and you add fuel accordingly. Maybe the fact that it can be hidden or is not quite as visible is where the stigma lies?
There's an article that show guys using it as far back as the late 50's in their dragster so it's not necessarily new to the scene, either. They used it in WWII on airplanes!
All I know is, it's a lot of fun to have an "on demand" power adder on a street car!

There's 3 10lb bottles and an old 2 stage NOS progressive controller in my garage, we've had them for a long time, just need the fogger kit and solenoids. Once the car is into the 8's N/A we'll likely fit it

I have well over 5000.00 worth of stuff and never cared to try it yet. Three new bottles that need recertification, Sledgehammer nitrous kit, progressive, scales, 5 set of NGK plugs, plug reader and probably some more crap.
Great '62, but it's not a Dart. It's a Polara 500. 361 4 bbl 305 hp base engine. I was almost killed in one in 1966 - giant concrete bridge abutment does not move when struck, instead shortens the wheelbase and puts the engine in the foot well.
