the mention of rust bubbles in a few spots along with the "Freshly?" applied HEAVY undercoating are of concern as well as the "numbers" on the block & trans twocents

What is wrong with the numbers? Does anyone know this car?

If he’s expecting $185K he’s very optimistic on the cars value.
Interesting he says one of one known in that color. I have a friend who owns a 70 383 roadrunner convertible that was originally FK5, and since he got it years back I’ve noticed a large % of the 383 verts I’ve seen at shows, in magazines and for sale were FK5. Very common color, I’d be very surprised if on one V code was made in that color.

I was wondering myself, I see a bunch of strangeness under the block #'s and the #'s from engine to trans. have some inconsistency.
Anyone that is better versed in this care to comment?
This car is extremely rare and desirable but being presented in driver condition, could you imagine it with a few weekends worth of work underhood and some proper tires etc...

Yes he says one of one known 440+6 converts in FK5. Has anybody seen another one? So it’s true, none others known.

Yes plenty of FK5 383 converts, but that’s not why he is saying.

How many 1970 440-6 Convertibles total? I'd imagine there plenty in that extremely small group don't have color duplicates.

There’s said to be 34 total but I’m not sure if that includes Canada and certainly not exports, if any.
His only one known claim is probably based on a Galen report so that’s not anything definitive.
My point was that FK5 was a very popular color in ‘70, and this one being that color doesn’t make it more valuable.
I like the color myself, my Challenger convertible is FK5, but I know firsthand Mopar collectors prefer high impact and look down at greens and browns and FK5 is a brownish hue.

Absolutely. Agreed.

And even if only one was built... when it comes to the car color, rarity does not always mean desirability across the color chart.

I'm with you, If this car was a better color I would have been all over it. I used to own a Vitamin C 70 RR vert.

This car has been posted elsewhere , ( maybe facebook or FBBO maybe ) as I think its a recent purchase.

And reading between the lines posted elsewhere. I have a feeling the ebay ad is more a test / experiment than anything to see if he can make some money on the car

Me personally , I like the FK5 with white interior. And if I were in the market and it was in my budget range I might consider having a talk with the owner as I would love to own it . But its not , and Im not . up

-1 of 34 EVER made with a 440-6 barrel, not just in 1970.

I love this puff line.

What other years was a 440-6 an option, let alone years that had verts with the 440-6 available across the line? Only 1970.

missed the 440-6 box in 68-69 verts... lol

There are multiple cars like this in EB5. But few with fuzzy dice. LOL
