I been running 20 inch wheels since they came out about 20 years ago on my last 3 second gen trucks, all 2wd, and this is what I’ve found. You have a 1995 you said so I know what’s going on. I ran spacers for awhile until I had the rims machined to make the center cap holes bigger to fit over the spindle. The only trucks that are 2wd that you see with their front center caps on either had the hubs changed to the new style which happened in 2000 model year, or are 2000-2001 model year trucks. Any year of 4x4 truck will fit these wheels no problem in all years. I have owned 97,98, and 99 year trucks and all of them wouldn’t fit the wheels properly in the front. But there are ways to make them fit. Your 95 will need a hub update, spacers, or the wheels machined to make them go on.

I'm liking the hub update option work so your saying the 2000–2001-year hubs will interchange with no issues?......Thank you wave

I’ve never done it, but I know guys who did it, and as I understand the newer ones are a hub with a bearing inside, unlike the spindle on the older trucks with the bearing you can change by itself, the newer ones are self contained apparently. If I were you I would just order hubs for a 2001 and put them on there.

Another thing I remembered just now as I type this is some of the wheels are different too. From 2002-2005 you could only get the flower petal style wheels but some were chrome clad and some were actual aluminum wheels. I had a set of each, and the aluminum ones had less clearance and needed a thick spacer, whereas the chrome clad ones had more clearance and could get by with a thinner spacer. Those chrome clad ones are the ones I had machined and still have on the truck. The aluminum ones I let go of years ago. They didn’t shine as much as they were like a semi wheel with the durabrite coating on them. The chrome clad wheels were prettier IMO.

Thanks for the reply......I Seach Rockauto to see if there 2000 hubs interchange with 1995's with no luck. I'm going to research deeper, iagree the chromes look's much better than the plastic looking gray ones.

aren't the 96 and newer hubs 6 bolt, while the 95 and earlier 5 bolt ?
if so, that would be the reason RA would show a difference. or was that just for dakotas ?
another reason may be the retaining threads to the knuckle may be a different pitch or size.
i'm not a truck knowledgeable guy, just throwing things out there that may be a reason for not showing compatibility.
i have mixed and matched so many components over the years that should have not been possible, but only being able to do so just by trial and error, plus listening to what others have done with success.
this issue is interesting to me because i will be learning something new from others on a subject i know nothing about.
thank you to all that are participating in this issue. you are educating an old man in something he knows nothing about. up bow

From my understanding the ram was a 5 bolt pattern wheel from 2nd gen94-2001 were the same.
