I have read some articles about Daddy Dave and Monza building real street cars to race. Apparently Dave is building a Monte SS and Monza has built a Grand Prix with a sbc and carb looks like about a 10 pt bar in it. Anyone else have any info.

Kye Kelly was building a Buick Regal with a bottle fed small block and Axeman is building an early Ford sedan with a Windsor engine I think. I just wonder what kind of high end car Ryan Martin is gonna bring to the table.

Daddy Dave and Monza's cars are not part of the Ryan/JJ/Axman/Kye/Shawn series. The next 405 season is going to be small tire only.

I've been watching the series: "Street Outlaws Endgame"; Dave & Monza weren't in on the "street builds", maybe they'll be added ?
So far, it's been Ryan Martin, Axeman, Murder Nova, JJ and Kye. Each episode is one guy's build.
Ryan's is a big-buck Chevelle with an LS, Kye's is a Regal, Axeman did a '34 Ford with SBC, and JJ's is a rattle-can garage-floor rebuild of a SBC '67 Nova.
Looks like MN is going with an Impala convertible, of all things, maybe Donk-style.
It's been pretty amusing so far, but JJ's deal was pretty cringe-worthy, though it was kind of warm & fuzzy that his kids worked with him.
Typing this, I'm half-wondering what the hell happened to my life laugh2

The small tire no power adder rule explains Kye's other car, he built another 3rd gen with a BES smallblock Ford in it of all things.

Unless they changed mid stream Ryan, JJ and the rest agreed to power adders in the first episode.

I have seen Facebook friends travelling to Oklahoma from all over to race on something for that show. None of them are NA that I am aware of. They have all been small tire street cars.

I seen the video on Monza's GP he say that car can be duplicated for about 20 grand work if you willing to do the work. Should be interesting on how fast it will be.

A couple weeks ago I sent Lutz a set of springs for the '57 Chevy he is using for the new/old show, Daddy Dave is racing his S10 until the Monte Carlo is ready, Ryan has a 69 Camaro for the show, which they started filming a couple weeks ago.
The original show has them going back to "normal cars", racing other teams from other cities or states.

come on now......you really think you can duplicate that car for 20k?? im sure its not a junkyard ls , and that cage work and bodywork alone are a decent amount of money. On top of that, let me know where you can get a clean rust free G body these days for super cheap...

I don't know whey they continue to use the ol broke drag racer thing but, all of them still try to claim they are not making anything .

Monza's Grean Pontiac would cost most people $50,000 to $60,000 to build and at least 2-3 years to get it done if you start with nothing

"Broke drag racers" definitely don't have tow rigs that cost more than my house !
Some of the guys have their SO car, their NPK car, now a Street car, plus all the support stuff, and their daily drivers, etc etc, plus their crew...
It's been a lucrative business for them, and from all appearances they've earned it.

Wonder what's gonna happen to all the high-dollar cars they've been running ? Maybe 2 series ?

Notable by their absence are Chief, Doc, Dominator, and etc.

I wonder if the T.V. company is cutting their operating budget forcing less "stars" work shruggy
I also wonder how those car shows are doing on their ratings against other shows at the same time on other networks? work
I just remembered a quote I heard from a pretty wealthy drag racer back in the 1980s, he said many men have become moderately wealthy from drag racing, but they were very rich, wealthy, before they started drag racing: work: shruggy

He says it's a 355 sbc with 750 holley. The cage and paint is high dollar. I have an 87 Monte SS and no where near that kind of money in it. Next project for it is a 400 sb with vortec heads.

It will be interesting to watch what they have done with the "OG" Street Outlaws show. No surprises that Chuck is doing a Fox Body Mustang. I follow Dominator on social media, I haven't seen if he is doing anything. Not all of the guys have a contract with Discovery, I think Dominator is one of those guys, along with Doc.

shruggy Just quoting what was said, he did say if you willing to do the work but i iagree in this day and age it will be kind of hard to duplicate a car of that caliber for 20. he didn't get into the paint/body work on the car because it was done by a friend.
