I've used Erson, T&D & HS. T&D use ball n ball pushrods, when you have a failure, they do big damage as compared to HS which use ball n cup pushrods. I've never smoked a ball n cup pushrod, but did a few ball n balls, I think that with the cup retaining oil prevents this type of failure.
