I have the 16" ram wheels looking to go to the 20"s what wheel spindle interchange on the front with the 95 rams? My reason for asking is the rims in question fit the rear just fine but not the front shruggy Not looking to run any spacers.

A second gen dodge truck would be what year? 1933? I am assuming you actually have some other arbitrarily named "2nd gen" dodge truck.

Are you talking 1/2 ton? 1994-2019 1500 classic with 5 lugs all use the same pattern (even earlier ones too but I never messed with interchangin them) and easily interchange on a 4wd, on a 94-01 2wd you can't run the center caps of the later wheels because of the spindle, I ran mine like this on a 1998 2wd from an 07 1500.

They do have the same bolt pattern as the rear, but it seems the wheel's bearing cover won't fit the wheel due to the wheel bearing (Hub) cap protrude pass the surface of the wheel. Stopping the wheel cap from seating.

1994-2001 is second gen. Is it 4X4 or 4X2?

Anyone know which of the 2nd Gen Ram factory option wheels is lightest weight?

Is any such wheel equal to or lighter than an aluminum Centerline?

So 1921-1993 is all first gen dodge trucks... got it.

When I ran my 1998 2wd with the later 07 20" wheels I think I put the grease cap on after the wheels and no center cap.

Have you considered 17" rims that came on the 2001 "Off Road" 4X4's (or something similar in size)? They look nice on 2X4's also...

Don't forget the $40 core charge for reconditioning. Those were easy to find 20 years ago, guys were pulling them off for 15x10's and easy to find tires.

And this is what I'm trying not to do. I have seen some second gens(4x2) running around with center caps. Wondering if they did a spindle change work

Post some pictures of your truck and the wheels you are trying to put on. The wheels should fit without the center caps.

The wheels do fit ,it's just the caps that goes with the wheels will not fit due to the spindle grease caps protrude too far past the base lip of the wheels were the cap rest.

Lots of wheel companies offer different center caps just for that reason. What were the wheels on before?

Post a picture of the rim. I doubt they are 2000 vintage as 20's came in way later.

That's correct, it would be 2002 or later that 20 inch wheels would be an option.
That's probably when the hub changed happened.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
