The engine plant built and painted the engines without accessories such as alternators and brackets. After the engines arrived at the car assembly plant, various different alternators that were available as options were bolted on using 2 existing water pump bolts. Brackets were hung on hooks or wires and dip painted with black enamel, and as a result had runs that could be discerned on close inspection.
These photos are 1969 340s with different water pumps than 1970, but they do correctly show the 2 water pump bolt heads with engine paint.

AFAIK the temperature sending unit, heater hose nozzles, and hose clamps should have been painted with engine paint in the last photo above.

Would look to Scott Smith for the correct answer to your question. Small Blocks were done different than Big Blocks. That painted engine above is close but no cigar. Ron After much searching it seems I want the P4120752 turquiose, but is there a consensus on which VHT or Duplicolor numbers? No one googled has any posts on the 1971 413-1 Hi-Perf truck motors

Most of the hi perf car engines were orange, but these year trucks were all turquoise, not the later Chrysler blue either. The JY 72 below seems like the covers were repainted with the later bluer color.

Even in the junkyard pic the heads and intake have traces of green-blue, but oddly the block has none.
