I have, as I've done several leanburn to E.I. conversions. I think it depends on manufacturer.

I think some of the aftermarket boxes from Standard Motor were blue or silver.. But as long as they have the (4) pin connector U should be fine.
However note that I have found that certain ignition boxes have more latency than others so I would recommend that after installing double check the ignition timing.

Just my $0.02... wink

as i am aware, most if not all, 4 pin boxes will work.
but as has been mentioned, check your timing, as some boxes can retard timing more than you think.
i don't remember any box that advanced timing, although it may be possible ? shruggy

If you replcaced a box that retarded a lot with one that retarded less the end result would be advanced timing

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
