Using the antique forum software for searches. Go to google, specify moparts as the domain, put your user name and keyword in the search, should come right up. In a Google search, type site: followed by the domain and extension, like site: moparts.org or board.moparts.org

When I search for an older post, say something from a year ago, I get nothing. I put my user name in and left it at everything less than 2 years ago and I only get results going back ~6 months. What am I doing wrong? Sounds like you are looking for one of your old posts. Go to your profile page and click on the 'Show Posts' button. It lists all of your posts back to 2003. Thousands of them.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

If it was posted in the General or WIW sections, they won't turn up in a search, but not because the search function doesn't work. It does. They won't turn up because threads that old from those forums are long gone from Moparts. They get deleted over time as they age. Threads in other forums remain much longer because there's a lot fewer threads in the other forums.
