Then the commenters all join in to prop it up.

At least the body numbers matched on the A12 mentioned above. The current discussion is a completely different level of dishonest.

It'll be interesting to see if they let my comment to the seller stand.

It’s there, but mine isn’t.

+1

BAT has become - for the most part - a place where dealers are unloading cars of questionable pedigree. To be fair there are some individuals selling decent vehicles but many dealers are using rosy descriptions with little ownership history or documentation to move vehicles posted on that site.

Agree 100%. I pointed out some VERY obvious issues on a Z/28 that was really an obviously hung together piece of crap. Since then, my comments will not post until they get reviewed (and are often tossed aside). BaT ONLY wants comments that do not point out to the uninformed issues with cars. They get paid a commission, so their end goal is to move as many cars as they can, regardless of issues.

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

I have also noticed on BAT that a lot of stuff sells, then mysteriously reappears a month later. I am sure there are deadbeat bidders, just like all the auction sites, but it seems some high end cars are being cycled through, and it seems to be pushing the markets higher then expected. I don't like it. I don't trust it. I won't use it.

There seem to be plenty of questions about the fender tag on there. The owner really isn’t being straight. It will be interesting to see the outcome.

A photo of the core support numbers is posted. If I'm reading it correctly, the core support says the build plant is LA (E), the VIN says Lynch Road (A).

Bummer for the seller.

VIN on data plate. That 6th digit sure does NOT look like an 8........

VIN on data plate run with an 8 instead of 6........

Am I misreading the data tag? Like I said, I'm not a numbers guy.

Yeah, you are smile Look at the block at the top right and the block at the bottom left.

The 8's have definitely been monkeyed around with.

That’s a pretty crazy result. Good luck to whoever on registering it and then enjoy driving it. I don’t think it’d be a bad car to drive after the sway bar gets taken care of, that it would have if a real rr.
