I just saw this on another forum. Looks like his parts are for a phord, but it may be some good info to keep in mind;

"We just got three of the Windsor Super Victor intake manifolds in that we've have ordered for over a year.

The bad news? They're unusable. They missed the dimension on the mating flanges by about .250 total. I suppose we could snot weld them and machine them ourselves.

Be careful with your Edelbrock products. Check them the day you get them. I have a customer that got a Rat Motor manifold that was oval port on one side, the other is rectangular port. I think it's designed for mid range on the drivers side and high rpm on the passenger.
"

Master, again and still

I think someone posted a few months ago about declining quality on Eddy stuff.
How one can mix up a BBC intake like that is amazing, if that's true.

But, I thought private equity acquisition of old line companies was a good thing.

A buddy that's a engine builder says that he ALWAYS has to machine the intake face of Edelbrock small block intakes for them to fit properly.
Other brands he doesn't have that problem.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

No, still made in USA AFAIK, but... there have been some posts on Speed-Talk about Edelbrock that the people that know/knew what they're doing are leaving/left as the company changes location, etc. Sounds like a corporate cluster-f**k to me.

This usually ends about as well as those "hold my beer" moments.

Edelbrock has been bought out/merged with Competition Cams. They have been moving everything out of dreaded California to Memphis Tenn the last year or more. All new casting house, new employees, etc with the transfer. It will take time to get everything right again.

I think they are still casting in California but machining in Mississippi. It seems like all part numbers are on back order. I haven't figured out how they plan on making money when they can't ship anything.

I bought a Edelbrock Victor 340 intake off ebay probably close to 10 years ago now. It was slightly used and got it for a really good price at the time. When I checked the intake gasket to the intake it wasn't even close to matching up with the ports. If I remember right the bolt holes lined up but the ports were off by 1/4-1/2". I think I may of had it sitting of the shelf for awhile or something because I ended up contacting Edelbrock about the issue and not the ebay seller. Edelbrock had me send the intake to them and they sent me a brand new one, I only had to pay to ship it to them.

They also got rid of experienced people, QC, engineering, significantly cut their offerings for niche items. I was hearing this years ago from people who dealt with them on projects.

When they sold out I posted RIP on the thread here. I meant it.

I will miss the RPM intake and the fuel pump the most.

I want my fair share
