I picked up an older Isky solid roller cam with a batch of other parts. I don't have an actual cam card just a paper in the box that reads 528 lift 240 duration at 50 and 110 lobe separation. Sounds like a mild street roller with specs like the old MP solid flat tappet cam. Has anyone here ever run a small roller like this cam? Gus

Years ago I ran a couple of Hughes / Engle .904 solid flat-tappet cams with specs in that range (239 at .050 / .540; 246 at .050 / .560; both on 110) that worked well in a mild 440. The smaller cam combination was running around 12.2 at 112; the bigger cam combination was around 11.7 at 117, IIRC. Not an apples-to-apples comparison, but they're in the ballpark IMO.

I have a 2010 Isky catalog, the only Mopar roller cam they offer in it with 240@.050 is B777 grind with 108 LSA and less lift, .480 gross lift I used one of their RR-602 solid rollers in an old 446 C.I. stock stroke race motor with a set of BME aluminum rods that I converter to pump gas for street use. That cam had the slowest opening cam lobes I have ever seen It took forever to reach .050 lobe lifter lift I loaned that motor to a friend and fellow bracket racer that had a 440 with max wedge heads and stock M.W. intake with more compression than my motor had, mine had a set of semi stock 440 heads on it with an Eddy RPM intake and a 850 Holley carb, it ran way better than his race motor by around .2 ET quicker and 2.+ MPH. That motor surprised both of us i use to buy directly from them years ago until Rod Iskenderian screwed me around on a custom ground SB 340 cam I wanted them to make for me. His younger brother Ron was managing the company back then and he was great to work with, not so with Rod much After waiting over 6 months for it I called Scooter Bros. at Comp Cams and had it in less than two weeks with ground shipping from Tennessee to my shop in SO CA

Is it even on a billet core?
It’s probably lobe # R-483, which is in their “street roller” series. 280 advertised/240@.050, 153@.200, .350” lobe lift(.525 w-1.5), lash .028”
I’d consider it a roller version of the MP 528 cam.

Yeah it looks like a billet core coated in that heavy cosmoline . I had considered running it with a 1.6 rocker or just sell it to someone with a smaller engine than mine. The flat tappet cam in my engine now is a little too radical for a mainly street car. It's challenging trying to drive through town with a manual transmission and the lope my 620/312 cam in the engine now. Gus

I totally get it.
It’s amazing how much street civility you can give up searching for that extra 25-50hp.
Some combos that I would have considered “perfectly fine” 20-30 years ago, are now in the “totally unacceptable” catagory.

Back in 72-3 my max wedge came with the Isky roller Super Legera or something like that (long time) about the same lift, had the rev kit to. Big cam at the time. Now that I think it might have been .550. Pushed the all steel 64 Savoy to 11.50s @ 121, turned 6800-7000 easy

I’d consider it a roller version of the MP 528 cam. I looked at the engraving on the end and it does have RR-483 XO32 13L 110 It's kind of hard to read the engraver must not have a very steady hand. Gus
