one thing i knew was the quarter panel pieces would be not a easy find , this is my 1st j-body i knew they changed the front from long t-bars to a criss cross system grin so having some work done to it and found (see photo) this , and that set up is for the smooth ride and comfort that the new 1982 chrysler cordoba can give you..............till 2022 when it broken and spend like an hr google`n and stuff to find a new one hammer so good thing firm feel inc. has a delete kit that gives you the old school set up penguin

Yikes, that must've seen some snow/salt!

I agree, so thankful for firmfeel and all their good stuff!

Some of these cars are a labor of love to restore or fix due to lack of parts availability.
I have been an E body guy forever and have come to take it for granted parts availability as you can damn near build a complete cuda or Challenger from scratch using repro parts. Just add VIN!
I bought a Magnum last year and not long after I topped the gas tank for its winter hibernation I noticed a gasoline smell in the garage every time I went in there. After crawling all over both my Challengers also parked there and finding everything dry as a bone, I noticed some stains under the rear of the Magnum and although I couldn't get under it very well to see exactly where it was leaking from due to how it was wedged into the garage, I could tell it was gas. That is where the odor was from and my tank must be leaking. So I checked online to see what a new gas tank would cost. Last time I bought a tank was 4 or 5 years earlier for my '71 Challenger, and Rock Auto had a new Quanta tank on my doorstep in a couple days for something like $135.
I check Magnums in Rock Autos site , no tanks listed, same tank as Cordoba so next I check Cordoba gas tanks. They made a million of those so surely tanks still available right? No tanks listed anywhere.
Fortunately after I was able to get further under the rear of the car, it appears the seal for the sender unit is weeping a bit which is a lot better problem to have than needing a new gas tank. I check online for those. Nothing. Well I think its the same seal as most every Mopar tank used in the 70s so I should be OK when I ever get around to tackling that.
Of course no body panels available, or trim. As I mentioned in another thread, if I get in an accident I am screwed unless I could find some used parts or some unicorn NOS stuff.
The payoff is that it is cool to have something different in a showfield full of Chargers, Roadrunners, cudas and Challengers! The downside is you have to really work hard to find parts rather than just pull out the credit card and fill out an online order form and then have something at your door in a few days.

Pretty sure I saved that old setup off my 82 Cordoba. If you decide you want to keep it original.

I have a non-Mopar I've owned for a long time (40 years as of June 20th). It is a car that has virtually no aftermarket support, so I have purchased 2 others over the years and cut them up for parts. I have complete quarters, a complete nose, basically every body panel and even a complete convertible top frame and all the trim. Whenever I came across a part for this car I would buy it and store it. When you "dare to be different" it's part of the deal. To me it's worth it. No '69 Camaro or '57 Chevy for me.
Good luck with your car, and a "tip of the hat" to everyone that goes through the hassles of keeping the rare ones on the road.

One good thing about the late B's is that there's a fair number of parts that were used on the 71 up cars that will interchange, even better post-73. I think the aftermarket has to come on board making some things. Maybe I'm dreaming.

I'd help anyone I could find parts for the post 74 B's and the F/M/J cars . We have our network as we have to stick together.

Mastershake, as long as yours isn't a 79, the tank seal is the same. if not, I"ll get you one.

Thank you for the offer to help. I am looking for a decklid for my 79 diplomat coupe. Any help is appreciated.

I can think of two hoods I could not give away 7 or so years ago, A flat 69 Dart hood with PRISTINE front trim, the other? 69 Charger. Both went to my scrap guy. At one point the hood trim for the dart was worth some $$ Now I see people looking for the flat hoods frown Both went to my scrap guy. I told him to hang onto the charger hood and he sold it a few years later for 150.00. ot sure what current market on that would be and probably don't want to know bawling
Current problem child is a BB 64 console shift 727 and it's later model brother (73 or 4) BB 727 that I really don't want to scrap. shruggy beer

Try to find anything for '71-up B-body wagons or ANY C-body wagon. "Wagons are SO hot" Yeah, everyone EXCEPT these models..........

I can deal with no sheet metal, but the lack of ANY weather stripping is my biggest issue right now. Always CAREFULLY closing the doors and tailgate so I don't bust a window on bare metal........ mad

Several places on line offer formed weather stripping material available by the foot. You choose the shape of the weather stripping you need by a profile picture of the actual weather stripping (or as close as possible) and buy however many feet of it you need. You use weather stripping glue (3 M stuff works better then the other stuff on the market) and super glue the square cut ends together to form the complete circle if you need that. Might not be the perfect replacement stuff, but at least you can save the glass and block off some wind draft.

If you guys really want a challenge, try buying anything for 40's Mopars.
