FWIW...I've had to use those Mr Gasket shock extension studs on every set of front shocks I've had on my cuda to get full travel w/o bottoming out the shock.

I noticed the same on those QA1 shocks - they are an inch short seams - I went with the Strange DA shocks - they fit much better - I would think the old Mopar shock extender would work with no problem
