I wonder [censored] happened? www.facebook.com/MoparStyleTheVisualArt/photos/a.518357821645535/2284795755001724

I would like to post pics like this directly in the post rather than post the link. I just don't know how. Can it be done? Is it difficult for someone as computer illiterate as me? I would like to learn how if possible.

Dave, when I add pictures to a post, I save them to my desktop first (right click, save as, desktop, etc...).
Then once I create a post on here the "attachment manager" makes attaching it easy.
I'm no computer genius either. Hope you follow what I'm attempting to convey.

I agree, would be fun and interesting to hear the story about what went on to cause that.

So the question remains, where is it now?

I'm aware of a couple older wrecking yards on rt 20 , might be worth a drive across the state to check them out.

Don't waste your time or gas money - this was over 50 years ago! The yard that submerged Superbird went to would have parted it out within probably a year & crushed it. That car is LOOOOONG gone. Only way it could have survived, is if someone bought it complete from the yard. Helluva story though.

Don't know what it was like back then, but these days, a flood car (one that has been under water above the rockers) that is less then 10 years old at the time of going under water, can not be "rebuilt" it has to be scrapped.
I suspect that back in those days, a new interior, and a different drive train and they could sell a car that would have strange odors on hot days and would rot away in a few short years.

Having been involved with the rebuild of an older car that was under water a total of 4 days (flash flood) means pretty much everything needs to be rebuilt or replaced. If the interior can be removed and the body can get washed well enough to get the water born bacteria out of it, it can be saved, but its not something for the weak at heart.

That's not correct. Plenty of cars that end up in the situation you describe get repaired.

iagree We rebuild a couple of 'flood' vehicles a year ourselves. A 'flood' designation is really a poor term to apply to some of these situations. Heck, if someone were to leave their sunroof or windows open during a rain storm and get water standing in a floorboard, it might be salvaged as a flood. But then most people don't know that a salvage designation may have nothing to do with the condition of the vehicle. We are seeing more and more vehicles salvaged due to the inability to get certain repair parts in a timely manner. I have already bought some vehicles like that.

IDK, I've dunked a few 4wd trucks over the years, pull em out, drain them out, fresh fluids and run it!

One was my 6 month old Ranger. Drove it daily for 4 years.
