I'm stuck on my ramcharger at the moment, i've been waiting for the compushift mini computer to come off of backorder status but it looks like that could be a while yet.
I have a 47rh and i've read all the hobb switch/pressure switch control stuff but I want to be able to control it electronically so I can manipulate the converter lock and have throttle position input into the locking.
I can't seem to find any otherr controller for the RH's beside the compushift mini, is there another one i'm missing? I've found the RE controlllers, but they dont support the more simpler RH.
My last resort is to fuel inject the truck which I didn't really want to do, I have my new distributor/950 cfm carb/ carter fuel pump already, and I wanted to maintain the 70's vibe on it.
I have a haltech ecu on my shelf for my rx7 that could run the whole deal including transmission, but then I have to come up with an injected throttlebody to go on the Indy max wedsge dual plane, add a return line, buy a different fuel reg and pump. I could run the haltech as trans only, but it would need its own rpm signal. Would be a waste of an ecu just to run the transmission.

If you have a modicum of electrical savvy, a combination of off/on switches with the Hobbs switches and a vacuum switch (ala PATC) will probably do what you want.

I don't see why the PATC stuff wouldn't work for you.

The converter lock being fixed at a one speed is what limits the switch. Having it mappable is what I"m after, especially if the converter ends up being more loose than I anticipated. That and crawling under to tune the switches is the reason I have zero interest in that route.

You can use adjustable pressure switches and timers, like "Katfish" did in this link below from cuda-challenger. Starts at "reply #119" and has a parts list of what was used.

I've sent a message to this company for info on their controls for RH series.

That's me, I've been running that set-up for 5 years now and couldn't be happier.
Initial tuning took some trial and error, but once I got it dialed in, haven't found a need to change it.
If you're looking for a "programmable" laptop situation, then this wouldn't be for you.

I belive most if not all ther products address the electronic actuated transmissions like the 46RE.

I talked them for a good bit yesterday, helpful guy. Their controller will work on the RH's for most applications. Their control
Has a lot of features though that make it the most useful on an RE for the cost.
I drew up a control strategy last night using the haltech, the ramcharger is basic in engine operation, so I have a ton of
Redefinable inputs and outputs left over to do some extra control with the transmission using only tcc lockup and Od.
I can setup a tow/haul mode with different od and tc lockup, I can also setup a 4x4 mode to lock the converter lower in ground speed but with a different engine rpm and also have it there for engine braking and have a brake pedal input to turn it off. Another switch input from Tps position will mean I can automatically unlock the converter in highway mode when throttle position is zero, to coast without engine braking.
Now I just have to choose a throttle body with injectors and a high pressure fuel system for the truck, I luckily have a half dozen or so bosch 044's kicking around and some high pressure fuel stuff from other projects.
