Good afternoon everyone
On my 1980 Gran Fury police car, it has the single key system (one key for ign, doors, trunk). The original key is pretty thin and I always wa t to have spares. So far I am having terrible luck on getting keys made. The Pentastar headed key goes to far into the lock and takes some trickery to work. Every round head key I find has the wrong grooves.

The pictures attached is the original key and any help is greatly appreciated

For the absolute best powder coating go to J.I.T powder coating, contact infomation is in my personal profile..

I found NOS key blanks for my single key Diplomat squad and took them to a local reputable locksmith to cut. Do parts books list a part number for keys? I don't remember.

Measure the length of that groove on the other side of the cuts and the stopping point of the key when inserted.

Facts are stubborn things.

I have an NOS Police and Taxi single key lockset using the secondary (round head) key. I also have the correct key blanks.

You tease smile

I was going to check my round key blanks to see if they measured same. I know I have some buried somewhere I just don't know if they were for single key system.

Didn't mean to tease you. I have at least 50 of those blanks.
