The "sad mouth" nickname bothers you? Do you own one of those cars?
It is an accurate description though. The styling of the Challengers took a hit with the 72 and later models while the Barracuda maintained a high mark from 70-74.

I like the 70-71 Challengers more than the 72-74, but like 72-74 Challengers more than 72-74 Barracudas.

Challenger door strobe stripes are super cool.

Yes, I do. My dad bought it new. I've never seen the "sad mouth" that others see.

The round taillights of the 72-74 barracuda were the worst change of the e bodies.

Actually, I prefer them over the 1971 and 1970 would be a close 2nd..😀

Yes I own one, and I'm damn proud of it. FE5 Red, bought it in Dec. 1973 when it was 6 mos. old. 48 years of ownership and counting.
I prefer to think of the grill shape as a mean scowl. Better than a bunch of the new cars smiling at me. The 57 Chrysler 300C and the 68 Shelby Mustangs have an almost identical grill opening,
and I see nothing but praise for the looks of those cars.

I don't mind that grille opening; it doesn't look "sad" to me, more like an open mouth, maybe.
Agree on the 300 C & D resemblance.
Wonder how it would look if the headlamp panels were blacked out ?
I'm also OK with the later tail lamps.
I'm also fine with the 72-up Barracuda front & rear styling.

Would you guys be offended if people called them "The Catfish Challengers" ? That is equally apropos.
I owned one 17 years ago. They are essentially the same as a 70-71. NIce cars but the grille design was a step backward in my opinion. More opinions.... The 69 Charger divided grille was a step backward from the 68 but I feel that the 1970 model is a close second to the '68. The 68-69 Coronet was great but I don't care for the '70. 1968 was the peak of the Belvedere-RR-GTX grille design.
I love the '71 grilles on both E bodies the most for all years of those cars.
My opinions were not expressed with intent to offend. When I aim to offend, it is nowhere near as subtle.

The Philly Cheesesteak man called it a frown mouth, not "sad mouth".

Anyone notice the error at one of the trivia questions? Question was 'what was the largest engine in a base Barracuda in 1971. They gave the answer at the 383/330. In 1971 the 383 took a big hit in compression and it was down to 300 horsepower. Where was the stupid graphic where Tony always corrects Mark on that ???

First few seasons were good, once Darren left, it’s boring. I don’t need to hear someone ramble off data plate option codes from the Red Book or production figures. It’s hard to watch but seeing the A-body stuff lately instead of Hemi E-Body’s is nice but pretty hard to watch.

I didn't like all the nonsense with "stealing" Darren's stuff nor did I enjoy Mark's clueless son-in-law. This show operates on advertising dollar and should focus on the viewer and what they want to see and not family drama. But again, I'd watch about anything they did because it's all Mopar and it's the only one and I'm thankful for that, and I believe Mark is a true Mopar fanatic.

Facts are stubborn things.

Its nice that they are putting episodes on youtube but it would be nice if they were in some sort of order or said what season and episode they were because they seem to jump all over the place.

They’re aggressively uploading 4-5 videos a day with clickbait titles. Unfortunately, they’re mainly repeats over and over. My feeling: I think GYC is coming towards an end, at least in the TV/Cable world.
