Is this the correct lighter for a 69 b body? I thought I took a better pic that showed the threads on the back lip of this one, but you really can’t tell very well from this shot. It looks like some other adapter should screw onto the back end or maybe this is for some application where it threaded into the dash.

I’ve been working on the dash of my car and this is one of the the last items not working. I found the plug in for it was covered in electrical tape, but the wire appears to be 100%. The plug went on this ok, but is a bit loose. I’m going to try and head back to the garage today and see if it works or not.

That looks like the right one, but you need to make sure that center stud is centered and the nut is tight. There should be insulating washers under the nut and on the other side of the hole. That stud cannot touch the sides of the hole or it will blow the fuse. It looks like yours has shifted to one side slightly.

my charger has a threaded stud, and uses a push-on connector.
however, i don't think the wire color is orange. orange is typically used for lighting.
i just looked. my lighter power lead is red with a black push-on connector.

That’s for the ash tray light. Lighter has the red with black plug for sure.

I put it in today and the stud and washer aren’t touching the side. Blew the fuse immediately when I pushed the lighter in to heat.. Saw the dash light flick and knew it was blown.
